The Loaves

आशुओं से भीगी ये रोटियां 

कैसे गले से उतरे ये रोटियां

These loaves soaked with ashes

How did these loaves come from the neck

आज बड़ा सुलभ हैं थालियों में ये रोटियां 

लेकिन क्या कभी विचार किया हैं !

Today these rotis are available in plates

But have you ever considered!

कहाँ से कैसे हमारे पास आई ये रोटियां 

कितने संघर्ष ,जद्दोजहद खून से सनी 

Where did we get these loaves

How many struggles, struggle with blood

पसीने से तर बतर ये रोटियां 

हाँ मैंने मह्सुश किया है 

बड़ी सिद्धत से ,कड़ी मेहनत से 

These loaves of sweat

Yes i feel

Hard work

तपती  धुप में,वो हड्डियों का ढांचा सा इन्शान 

बड़ी मेहनत  से खेतो में बीज बोता हैं 

In the scorching sun, that bone-like structure

Hard work sows seeds

अपने खून पसीने से सींच सींच कर बड़ा करता हैं 

लहलहाते फसल की रखवाली में उसकी कमर टूट जाती हैं 

Wet your blood with sweat and make it big

His waist breaks while guarding the swollen crop

फिर भी ,खूब जतन  से सबसे बचाकर 

फसल बाजार में लता हैं 

बिचौलियों के चंगुल में उलझ के 

सही दाम भी नहीं ले पाता  हैं 

Nevertheless, best avoided

Crop crops

Entangled in the clutches of middlemen

Can not even get the right price

उसे तो सायद भरपेट खाना भी मयशर या नशीब  नहीं 

परिवार की जरूरते ,बच्चों  की पढाई 

He does not have to eat even syrup, but mayor or nashib

Needs of family, study of children

बेटियों की शादी विदाई  की चिंता 

फिर बैंको ,साहूकारों की लेनदारी 

Worries about daughters marrying farewell

Banks, money lenders again

सब तो चुकानी पड़ती है 

कर्ज के बोझ तले दबकर 

All you have to pay

Buried under debt

और मौसम की मार से सहमकर 

अपना ही गला  घोटता किसान 

इतना सबखुछ झेलती है ये रोटियां 

And bewildered by the weather

Farmer throttles his own

These loaves bear so much

किसानो के खून पसीने से सनी है ये रोटियां 

कितने ही ऐसे लोग हैं 

जो अबतक समझ सके न 

इन रोटियों कि कीमत 

The loaves of farmers are soaked with sweat

How many people are there

Who can not understand till now

Price of these rotis

चंद  सिक्को में नहीं आंकी जा सकती 

हीरे जवाहरातो से नहीं  तोली जा सकती 

हर  अमीर गरीब की भूख मिटाती ये रोटियां 

Can not be measured in a few coins

Diamonds cannot be weighed with jewels

These loaves satisfy the hunger of every rich poor

कोई भेद नहीं , ऊंच -नीच ,छोटा -बड़ा 

सबको तंदुरस्त बनती ये रोटियां  

No distinction, high-low, small-large

These rotis became healthy for everyone
