Maharashtra reports 3,390 new COVID-19 cases; active cases stand at 53,017

According to an official release by the state health department, a total of 1,550 patients were discharged in the day, taking the number of recovered cases to 49,346.

Maharashtra reports 3,390 new COVID-19 cases; active cases stand at 53,017

PTI Maharashtra today reported 3,390 new COVID-19 cases and 120 deaths, taking the overall count to 1,07,958 and fatalities to 3,950.

According to the health officials, so far 50,978 have been discharged while there are 53,017 active cases and 6,57,739 people have been tested so far in the state.

Mumbai reported 1395 new COVID-19 cases and 79 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases in the city is now at 58,135, including 28,959 active cases, 26,986 recovered/discharged and 2190 deaths. The number of patients testing positive for corona in Dharavi slums seems to be getting under control with only 13 patients testing positive in the last 24 hours. The total patients are now at 2043. No death was reported from here in the last 24 hours.

It stated that the COVID-19 recovery rate now stands at 47.2 per cent and fatality rate at 3.7 per cent.
